About The Project

Location
Crystal Cove, California

Service Areas
Landscape Design, Masonry, Hardscaping, Outdoor Living

Materials
Limestone pavers, natural stone veneer, architectural planters, smooth stucco, artificial turf, blue fire glass

This project was designed to complement the bold geometry and layered façade of a modern residence. The landscape plays with levels and symmetry, using limestone pavers and planters to guide the eye from street to entry. Every feature was chosen for cohesion—warm stone contrasts against crisp stucco and verdant greenery to create a grounded but elevated experience.

The client desired a modern and structured exterior that would mirror the interior architecture and offer effortless outdoor living. Functionality and sophistication were key—from the symmetry of the entry sequence to the seamless transitions between social zones. Each space was planned to enhance curb appeal, allow for relaxation, and offer low-maintenance beauty year-round.

Key Features

  • Tiered Entry with Planters
A formal, symmetrical staircase with large architectural planters draws visitors in while setting a grand tone for the home.

  • Linear Fire Pit with Blue Glass
A contemporary fire feature framed in smooth concrete and filled with vibrant blue glass offers a striking visual focal point.

Strategic planting softens the hardscape, while modern beds of succulents and shrubs keep the design clean and sculptural.
